Keeley Jones, played by Juno Temple, is a supporting character on the Apple TV sports comedy-drama Ted Lasso (2020-).
A bubbly yet sharp media personality, Keeley quickly proves herself to be both charming and business-savvy, earning the affection of nearly everyone at the English football club featured in the show. Though she has several romantic storylines, it’s her close friendship with club owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) that stands out — a warm, affirming, and rare portrayal of healthy female friendship on television.

In the first two seasons, Keeley occasionally makes playful comments about Rebecca’s appearance that hint at possible alterous attraction. By season three, her queerness becomes more explicit when she begins a relationship with Jack (Jodi Balfour), a venture capitalist who backs Keeley’s publicity firm. Notably, her attraction to women is never questioned or treated with suspicion by her ex-boyfriends or any other characters. While Keeley never labels herself as “bi” or “queer,” her storyline reflects a refreshingly casual and normalized approach to queerness in modern television.
